I am not sure what everyone else is doing to insure their collections. I use Collectibles Insurance https://collectinsure.com/ to cover mine. It's fairly affordable and works great.

I once sent an item, that I sold, to a collector in Australia and the display case was broken. My insurance paid for a replacement, no fuss, no muss. It's definitely worth a look as most home owners policies won't cover a lot of what we collect (at least as far as current value is concerned).

My insurance company stated that they would include it in Personal Property.

Great idea to secure your own collection. I have been thinking about it for a long time. Maybe I will do it as well

But at what "value"? You should check that out. Easy to "insure" under the Personal Property provision, but perhaps tough to collect upon in the event of misfortune.

Collecting! It's what I do!
