Sure sounds like it is for permission to rerelease the disputed, butchered MST3K copies only, to me.

Man, I would LOVE to see a pristine copy of Invasion of the Saucer Men on BLU-Ray, with commentaries, etc. .  I remember seeing that one in the theater.  It was such fun.  The made-for-TV version of Eye Creatures is so awful, who cares?  Maybe they could include it as an "extra".
