Late summer is the perfect time for erotic film noir, when the sleaze starts to rise up out of the swamps of South Florida, so wouldn't it be great to round out August with Joe Bob Briggs and the full cast of "Wild Things," including Denise Richards, Neve Campbell, Matt Dillon, Kevin Bacon, Theresa Russell, Bill Murray and Robert Wagner?

Unfortunately, nobody in the cast wants to appear on stage with Joe Bob, so it's just you and Joe Bob at the Alamo Yonkers, where we've acquired a beautiful 35-millimeter print, all the better to enjoy the scandalously trashy 1998 cult classic that has more plot twists than a Philadelphia pretzel and asks the question, "Did I just see Kevin Bacon's p****?"

Cheerleaders, sex crimes and murder—it doesn't get any better than this. Directed by John McNaughton, of "Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer" fame, this is the latest in Joe Bob's continuing series of flicks that underperformed at the box office then became underground hits later. This was Denise Richards' next film after her star turn in "Starship Troopers,' which we celebrated at the same theater earlier this summer. Apparently she needed a bikini to find her Stanislavsky mojo.
