I've lost interest in the Star Trek franchise.  The first movies were coy relics that I enjoyed seeing once, but Shatner-Kirk was tiresome to me, and I never hitched on to Other Kirks or Nimoy-TryToBe's.  At some point, "start yer own series, use yer own names - I am not buyin' the copies of copies..."

But I wish this series good luck because it represents one more considered cause for dumping Cable-TV where we subsidise so many unworthy channels.

My family never watched Star Trek in the '60s, but I enjoyed the original series in reruns for years. I still feel a bit of nostalgia for it. Any later ST shows just don't hold my interest.
