The Other Zombie Apocalypse Show

Anybody watching Z NATION? It's not as well written as WALKING DEAD and doesn't have characters as interesting, but if you like blood and guts and zombie FX, it's got plenty of those! It also seems a little tongue in cheek, at times. Last night's show had zombies flying out of a tornado (with one of the characters saying "Well, at least it's not sharks!").

Not surprisingly the same production company is behind Sharknado, Asylum.  I've seen the previews, also tuned in for about 5 minutes and that's enough for me.

Ah, that makes sense, then! I knew Asylum made cheapie movies, but I didn't know which ones. Yeah, there's nothing very interesting, here. Hope WD comes back on, soon!

I watched about 10-15 minutes, then changed it. It was ok. The special effects are pretty good.

Watched it for the first time last night. I really liked it. You don't care about the characters as much as WD but it had everything I could want on a B level. Action. Decent effects. Dark humor and nonchalant to over the top violence violence. The scene when the black lady was stabbing the zombies stuck on the electric fence with a sharpened broom stick and flipping them over with the broom was cool and campy at the same time. I'm hooked.

Following in WALKING DEAD's footsteps, Z NATION killed off a regular cast member (kinda the main guy, really) on last week's show. Can't say I was expecting that!
