Hi All, I'm looking for a tv show on DVD called Struck by Lightning.

Plot Summary for
"Struck by Lightning" (1979)
Science teacher Ted Stein inherits a spooky old New England inn inhabited by its caretaker Frank. Ted learns he is the descendant of the notorious Dr. Frankenstein, and that Frank is in actuality Frankenstein's Monster. Ted decides to hang around the inn to continue his ancestor's experiments, while keeping Frank's identity a secret.

STRUCK BY LIGHTNING opening credits and sponsor CBS sitcom

It was cancelled after 3 episodes in the US, but 8 episodes aired in the UK. Does anyone have a copy? I would love to get it on DVD if possible.

I fondly remember this show, but it's never been rebroadcast or had a legit DVD release.

8 episodes in the UK is like two seasons in the US.

I didn't remember it until I saw the opening credits.  I know I watched it, but don't remember anything about it.

The premise was that Ted Stein, a high school science teacher, inherits an old inn in Maine. In reality, the inn is Castle Frankenstein, brought over brick-by-brick from Germany by Ted's great-grandfather. Ted is the last living Frankenstein, and the inn's caretaker, Frank, is the immortal Frankenstein's Monster. However, Frank must drink an elixir every 75 year's, or he starts to decompose. Ted's grandfather went senile and died before he could administer a new batch of elixir to Frank. As he tells Ted, "See my eyes? Five more years, I'll look like a catfish!" When Ted doesn't believe Frank's story, the desperate caretaker stands in front if a window, raises his arms, and growls deeply. Instantly, he's struck by a bolt of lightning! Ted agrees to stay at the inn (he had planned to sell it) and help Frank search for the formula for his life-sustaining elixir.
