Yay!! I haven't watched it since Halloween 2K12! TMC is so surprising in their scheduling!   :)

My 7 year old daughter and I just watched it (her first time).  She really enjoyed it.  As did I of course!

Got it on DVD a while back. Love the Rankin/bass depictions of the famous monsters. Just think it would have been better if it was an hour hour special and not a full-movie.  :) but I am a fan of it!

Ever watched the quasi-sequel?

I had heard about the quasi-sequel in Don Glut's book, and I bought the VHS when it came out.  I don't know who was responsible for putting it on VHS, but they managed to screw it up, so the tape opened with the middle, with the beginning being in the middle.  Fortunatly, I was able to get my brother to rerecord it, and watch it properly.  It's a so-so film, kid friendly, but  not nearly as good as Mad Monster party.  Somehow, too much of it just seemed labored.

Actually, that was the way it originally aired, and the way the DVD is presented, too.

Count, even if playing it like they put an alcoholic in charge of editing the film was how it originally aired, I found playing the beginning at the beginning made a lot more sense.

Oh, I agree! That's why I use the chapter selections on the DVD. Yet, for some reason, I'd think it would've been corrected on the DVD if it was considered an error. For whatever crazy reason, that seems to be the order it was meant to be played in.

Agreed, should have been left alone

That is true about a lot of Great films, where there was a lame fellow up.
