Hello all,

These are older customs of mine, and as such, they never got a fair unveiling with some nice hi-rez photos. I tinker with my customs continuously, and both these guys underwent some recent revisions. So I thought I'd take this opportunity to revisit them.

A pair of human monsters today- and no one was better at portraying human monsters than dear old Boris. So, for your viewing pleasure: "Mord from Tower of London", and "Mask of Fu Manchu". Both are heavily altered Megos from my Mage Toys' "World Famous Movie Monsters" Line. These two were from the same "assortment", hence why they are being displayed together.

All sculpts, costuming and box art, etc., was done by me.

Enjoy!

Matt

MORD:

I am particularly proud of the axe, as it was scratch-built.

Fu Manchu:

This box is among my favorites that I've done:

Thanks for looking!

Those are great, Matt! How many Karloff figures have you done? Would love to see them lined up in a row!  :)

Your Fu needs a Loy (I had Fu Loy for lunch.) And speaking of female sidekicks, do you really have a Lugosi and Luna?

As far as Karloffs in Mego scale go, I have done 1) Mord, 2) Fu Manchu, 3) The Raven, 4) The Ghoul, 5)The Wurdulak, 6) The Black Cat, 7) The Invisible Ray, 8) Mr. Hyde. I intend, the next time I make a Karloff, to make the butler from "The Old Dark House"

As for Myrna Loy-- I am not a talented enough sculptor to do her justice. Otherwise I would have a set of Nick and Nora Charles Megos in front of me right now.

I did do Count Mora from Mark of the Vampire. But I haven't done Luna yet... one of these days.

Wow! That would make a great chorus line!  I know I've seen some of those.

These really are fantastic figures, love them all. I would to do something like this myself sometime. What are the head and hands cast in?

The heads are cast in resin after having been sculpted in polymer clay and epoxy by me.

The hands are original doll hands, just modified.

In a perfect world, all of these figures would be sitting on toy store shelves waiting for us to purchase them.
