Just Finished Watching Mockingbird Lane

I completely see your point and respect your opinion. We got the "classic" Munsters in the two Fox made-for-TV movies "Here Come the Munsters!" and "The Munsters' Scary Little Christmas" in the mid-'90s. The first was a decent attempt at recreating the classic series for a more modern audience. The second was just wretched. There's just no recreating the classic series. There was no need to even attempt it, it's already failed twice. So, updating it and going in a different direction, was probably the only choice after "just leave it alone."

Here Come the Munsters was actually better then "Munsters Revenge", which was still better that the Addams Family Halloween film from the 1970's.   In a sense, I think the makers of Mockingbird Lane" made the right choice in not using "Munsters" in the title, or attempting to recreate the look of the cast members of the 1960's show, since they wanted to take the idea of a family of monsters in a different direction.
