Owww! Hot rain would be horrible! I've only been to Oklahoma once (Norman, OK.) and it was in July for Clarinet Fest. It was pretty darn hot, but really sunny  :)
Also, we spent most of the time indoors attending concerts.

Come to Oklahoma in July-August if you want 100-116 degree weather...even the rain is hot  :o

You never know, he is a little kinky.

It doesn't matter, I have been subtly been reprogramming him, so that he now actually wants to move to California, the place he insisted was too expensive to live in. The problem now is our house being as far underwater as the Creech!

Street Worm

Hot here in Ct.

But Winter's right around the corner (again)  ;)

Went up to a "chain o' lakes" near LaGrange, Indiana for the 4th - 109, Thursday!  The missus & I stayed at her aunt's house, in a very small bedroom.  Had it's own ac AND fan!  Sheer arctic bliss!  Felt like a drunken Yeti - hell, you coulda hung meat in that room!  And I would have if they let me near the animals!
Man I miss Chain o' Lakes!  I used to camp and canoe there!  It has been 109 to 111 here in Oklahoma and just way to damn hot!  Had  a cool down it's been in the 90's last couple of days, 94 right now.
Long live the UMA!

Opera Ghost

Well, we're in for some EXTREME TEMPS for the next 36 hours. A weather warning has been issued here for extreme temps lasting 7pm on Thursday. yesterday, it hit 115 in Santa Clarita, and is somehow supposed to be hotter today and tomorrow in San Fernando Valley and SCV before breaking .

Man, that's just crazy. Animals will be throwing themselves in front of cars just to get relief!

Chicago is seeing one of the hottest summers in recorded history. With the heat index we were seeing 108-115 days in a row. My gardens are crapped out even tho I water 1 hour every day and things are blooming then dying a month ahead of time. I had most of the week of the 4th off and  pretty much all I did was sit in the basement drinking beer and flavored water watching old movies and sleeping alot. Now I am back in the hot warehouse being miserable. 92 is considered cool  I don't do heat well at all especially now with all the meds I am taking. Give me 63 and cloudy anytime  8)

63 is good stuff Mike...take it easy in that warehouse!

I'm in and outside all day long--last few days have been pretty nice but there is no way in hell that I'm not turning the A/C on when I get home. I can't sleep in the heat.

As far as the snow goes with that pic?? I like a nice Nov early snow--the dusting ontop of the fall landscape is always beautiful and of course snow is great (in moderation)  around the holiday time...a good football game in the snow during that time, but after that?? Keep it. As far as I'm concerned February is fairly useless. When the Super Bowl is over you're pretty much just sitting through crappy weather counting the days till spring and all that it brings.

I seriously think I get annoyed easier around mid Feb.

Some of the best memories in my entire life and I mean "entire life" with all my heart--are of chilly October evenings, walking home on Fri or Sat night through town with my friends from another friends house--the smell of the cold air, the wet leaves collected on the side of the curbs. I was about 15-16 yrs old, my trustee flannel jacket  and a baseball cap.

I still love a good walk right when the temp drops and it gets dark early. There is something both very calming and invigorating about that.

Now that is alot of crap for a thread about heat.  ;)
