I can't deny some of the good riffs and catchy songs that came out of the glam camp in the 80's...for a real metal guy, I stand by my Ratt and Crue cds till the end lol.

With that, Steel Panther to me, next to Ghost is the best band out there! For one they can play...2 everyone is in on the joke from jamming with Scott Ian, to Corey Taylor to Vinnie Paul everyone seems to get it.

I got it the other night and saw them at Irving Plaza in NYC and they were incredible. The ridiculous choreographed moves, the 5 minutes of stand up comedy between every 3 songs, the 10 girls that got pretty "rowdy" on stage......the hysterical antics that parody an entire decade--all while playing their set and incorporating some medleys that included "Eruption" "2 Minutes To Midnite" and "Master Of Puppets"

Keep in mind the guitarist was Halfords axeman in Fight and the drummer was in Armored Saint for awhile.

Good for a laugh, but legitimately digging the sound......better than Spinal Tap ever was.

These songs are not good if you have little ones around!!

they play here in Hollywood, like as "regulars' at House of Blues , weekly it seems.
one of my friends is a groupie of theirs...lol
so I kinda "know "them in a way( in a bad way... lol.. ive seen them at their drunkest ,douchey-ist finest. lol )
they do have talent as musicians though, for what it is.
i myself prefer thrash metal, like slayer /anthrax, S.O.D. , etc.

Oh I agree...I'm a thrash/death/black/power/hardcore/punk--classic guy myself. I just think they're damn entertaining.

(and I secretly have a soft spot for the glam thing..I was kid in the 80's!)

Yeah they're doing some give away at HOB....good lord some of the women in the crowd I've seen in their HOB videos. I might head out to a show with a ring
