Yay!!  My husband likes the monsters  (he sleeps in a room full of them) but he really loves Disney collectibles! He worked there in the 70s, so he collects America on Parade stuff and patriotic Mickey stuff  :)    I LOVE my monster movies, where as he just likes them. Although he seems to enjoy them more with each passing year.

Go Nancy! Go Nancy! Yay!!  Scatter, your wife is an awesome lady!  I sooooo wish we lived near each other! I love her decorating sense and her super-fun attitude!   :)
I guess I qualify as a wife- dealio! I love my horror/monster/Disney stuff and I try to keep everything semi-organized.  I've been married for nearly 32 years, and thankfully my husband has never been hit on the head by falling collectibles from the top of a closet!  But I have.........

Just goes to show you, fellas....all of the good ones are taken!

I'll say....I myself am lucky....my wife Lisa is fine with my collection.....as long as it stays in check....

She loves the old tv westerns and older shows for the most part....likes the old classic horror and Hammer movies....

Our office/junk room is full of books,,,autographed photos, toys and what not.....

The basement is where most of my stuff is....but mostly packed up and stored on shelving....

One day I''ll get it out to display but just don't have the room now.....I said that if and when we move again....I want a sliding panel with a "Bat Pole" to the basement....she said it would be fine with her....I wonder if she was kidding??

I'm one of the lucky ones, too.

Though The Wife does NOT have the collector gene herself, and will occasionally carp if the comics stack gets too big, or if Dr. Evil lays too long on the kitchen table being repaired...

... she does enjoy the classic films, tv shows, and radio eps (she loves SUSPENSE.)

Like many Monster Girls, she usually sympathizes with poor Kong, the Frankenstein Monster, etc. And she was sad recently, that the Sideshow guys had to go back in their closet till next Halloween season. (The mini Remcos are staying out, by the computer.)

I'm very lucky in that my lovely wife Lynn tolerates the collection, espeially now that I have my own room and will be 100% self contained, but in our old place she let me put monster stuff out throughout the house. She also enjoys some of the old movies,Hammer and Godzillas. She especially likes Son of Godzilla,Mothra and Godzilla 1985.
Crazy am I? We'll see if I'm crazy or not!

I'm blessed as well.  My Jo Ann tolerates my collections with good humor. When we built our house she let me have the upstairs as my studio/study devoted to my stuff.  At Christmas, my birthday, and Father's Day I tell her what I want and she obliges.  She's not the fan that I am of monsters and superheroes, but she enjoys most of them.  She is my best friend!
You can't kill the boogeyman.  Halloween (1978)

QuoteSorry man, but your wife is wrong.  If it's related to either monsters or superheroes, it is NOT hording.  It's then PRICELESS WORKS OF ART.

Probably told this before.......The wife DID truly think most of the stuff down here in the dungeon was worthless and just piles of stuff. Then one day I packaged up a piece of comic original art to sell and ship away......she saw me and asked if I was going to insure it.......I said yes.......she said how much........I said....well, I gave her a figure in the range of a very nice new car. She didn't even blink, didn't comment, but I gotta believe she took on a greater respect for my basement treasures........Buddy

My wife is not really a fan but she does like The Wolfman and the Creature. She is not a collector of anything. She doesn't understand my sons or my desire to collect. She has always tolerated my collection but when we built the house I could not have my stuff out. Only a couple of things. She let me have a section of the basement to build a room to house my collection. It is 27 1/2 X 14 and overfull.  After the flood ruined a few things she felt bad and gave me the ok to add on to the room which I hope I can start this winter. The original room took me 8 years to get it built. I bought the supplies a few at a time to budget out  the money and still work on the room. The room should be 40X 14 when completed. She doesn't care for Universal collectables but she is always on the lookout and gets goodies for me for birthdays and Christmas. I am grateful for my wife of 32 years and 7 months. For everything she does for me and the kids, I really couldn't live without her. She is my better half without a doubt.
