Eh, I am in shock. I knew his son Matt for a time when I lived in the San Fernando Valley... he arranged a VERY amazing visit to Stan's workshop on Hayvenhurst and Valerio (am I right? It was very long ago!) and I got to shake hands with Stan during the visit. Just remarkable.  Multiple myeloma, good god, a painful and devastating illness.

Wow, what a sad day.  My condolences to him and his family! 

He created a great universe of Monsters for us to enjoy!  Whenever I saw Stan Winston Studios in the Credits, I knew it was going to be good! 

Thank you Stan, you work will live on forever!
