I still have the copy I wore out as a kid. Listened to this non stop back then.

That was great! I also like the Alfred Hitchcock young detective series of books. It's the one where the kids have a clubhouse in a junk yard (how cool is that!!!!!???) and meet with Hitch at the studio to get help solving the mysteries.
Supernatural, perhaps; baloney, perhaps not.
