You are very lucky. KISS hasn't been in Vegas for a while. Hope they return, soon.
Btw, the IKONS cd is really good. ;D

Just got back from the Mansfield Mass concert. I saw on the posters that they will be in Las Vegas later in the tour. I was 3 rows back from the stage. I saw them all close up except for Eric Singer. Tommy Thayer was mostly on my side and Gene Simmons came over and gave us a show and Paul Stanley mouthed some words to my wife I didn't catch. It was the usual great show. I still miss Ace and Peter. I am a stickler for originals just like my Universal classic monsters.

I'm seeing KISS in Indianapolis tomorrow at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. It's been 6 years since my last KISS show. At least with the current lineup, they have a really good new record to support. I see they're playing "Crazy, Crazy Nights" again, which is weird because I actually saw them on that tour years ago. I'm not that crazy about the current set list. I miss "I Stole Your Love" and "Strutter", but at least I'll get to hear three songs off of "Sonic Boom".

Ya know, I was the 1st person to start off with "I'm not crazy about the lineup"..etc etc--but it's grown on me.

Of course I would love a set list of the 1st 6 studio albums, but there is alot of great stuff after that era that was just getting no play.

Creatures is one of my favorite KISS albums and alot of it should be played live--Asylum was great, Crazy Nights...there are tons of good tracks from the 80's that just fell through the cracks.

Glad to see...or hear, that theyre back in rotation.

I really miss Ace and Peter too. I was fortunate to see the reunion tour, Hallowe'en show
at Dodger stadium and the farewell tour. But, Tommy And Eric are great musicians, and I personally
don't think Peter could hold up on touring.  They are still my favorite band, so I'll take KISS for what
they are. Because someday the touring will stop, and that will be a sad day in KISSTORY. :(

I LOVE the original line up and when that started to fade I said enuf is enuf. For me the first 6 are essential  as are the 2 LIVE's the rest not so much because the songs that were on the radio were MADE for the radio. So crappy and commercial rock I wanted to puke. Case in point "Lick It Up" one of my most HATED commercial pieces of rock crap ever. $$$$$ SELL OUT SELL OUT SELLOUT. 70's K.I.S.S (Knights In Satan's Service  ;)) Legendary! Maybe I should spend a crappy rainy fall day just looking at Kiss on youtube to check the later stuff. Odds are my opinion won't change.

They had a good set list but I didn't really care for Sonic Boom myself. I wish they would have done Strutter. They could do without "I was Made For Loving You" it never really sounds good. It was their version of a disco song. They didn't do God Of Thunder when Gene Simmons flew to the rafters but they did I Love It Loud instead which is a favorite of mine. Of course, thanks to the Dr. Pepper commercial they sing Call Me Dr. Love and they played the commercial a couple of times on the big screen.  What I really liked was how they opened the show. On the big screen they had Google Earth on and pointed to the Comcast Center. It zoomed in on the building and then there was a giant boot of Gene Simmons. Then they showed all the Kiss members as giants walking through the city. They get to the doors of the building and then Paul Stanley turns around and motions that he is going in and then THERE THEY ARE! Awesome entrance! I wanted the best I got the best.

I'm leaving for Indy in a few hours. I wish they would play "Creatures of the Night", "King of the Night Time World", "God of the Thunder", "I Stole Your Love" or any number of songs that aren't in the current setlist, but the one song I really dread is "God Gave Rock n Roll to You." That's not even a KISS song! It's a cover. I could also go the rest of my without hearing "Rock n Roll All Night and Party Every Day", but I kind of understand why that one is always the last song. Personally, I wish they would let Tommy and Eric sing their own songs off of "Sonic Boom" instead of making them sing "Shock Me" and "Beth" respectively.

Back in 1999, We did a trailer for a New Line Film which you guys probably already know "Detroit Rock City". It's an enjoyable movie

Crazy Nights is in the lineup of this tour. They sang it about halfway through the concert.
