I interviewed Harvey Pekar for a mag when I worked for the Silver snail in Toronto. Not a friendly guy, but very honest and passionate about what he did. American Splendor did what few graphic novels have done, that is reach a level of excellence and literary importance.  Bravo Harvey for all your work.  Listen to jazz records and find that peace you were always looking for.
