I regret to report that actress Lynn Redgrave died today in NYC (another source says CT), aged 67. Ms. Redgrave had been treated for breast cancer. Another fine performer who left us too soon.

This is terrible news. She was a very talented and gracious artist.

This is heartbreaking... wonderful, wonderful performer.

Damn it.  Too young.

I'll miss you, 'Georgy Girl'...but you're with Corin now.

Miss Redgrave had an illustrious career in great roles and in minor ones--and in OUR world here she should be remembered for her excellent supporting role in the James Whale biopic, GODS AND MONSTERS, as Whale's housekeeper, Hanna.  She also carried lead roles in tv versions of WHATEVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE and THE BAD SEED.  And for members of a certain age--she started her film career in the (at the time) titillating sexy romp, TOM JONES in 1963.

She also starred in the Dan Curtis directed Turn of the Screw.
