Thanks go out to you David for again going to the work of assembling the ballot for the sixth annual Rondo Awards.  Possibly just behind Halloween and up there with Christmas for a Monster Kid's most eagerly anticipated day.

Every year, I start voting in the Rhondos.... then about 1/3 the way through, I realize I don't know any of the items in some catagories, be it books, magazine covers, whatever. Then a little later, I realize I don't even have a response for about half the catagories, and I give up on them.

I must not be enough of a fanatic for the Rhondos.

I'm glad you don't have to cast a vote in every category for your ballot to count.  I leave a lot of categories blank, or I end up voting for the one nominee that I've actually seen, read or heard of.  I think one of the awards' goals is to expose people to things they were not aware of previously.

Like Ray I don't vote on every category.  I can't make it to conventions so how and why should I vote for one.  I figure if I really have no basis for judging one category I feel it's not really fair to the nominees to pick at random.  Certainly websites, covers, toys, movies and DVDs are all categories most people can vote on without in depth exposure.

And if you're unsure on Hall of fame choices, just write down Billy Van.
