Finally, the commercial to one of my favorite monster toys hits Youtube.

My best friend had this when I was a kid, lots of fun days filled with ink stained fingers. For some reason Mom and Dad wouldn't buy me one of my own.  It wasn't until last year that I finally got one of my own.   I still jump when Drac opens his cape.
Morning, noon, or night, Anytime . . . . the count may strike. If you're caught you have to linger, Cause Dracula may bite your finger!

Cool! It's not too often that you see monster toy related tv commercials. Besides this one and the Head shrinker commercial I uploaded to YouTube a while back (and few Mego Kong toys), there's nothing else out there. Not that I'm aware of anyways.

Here's the PRESSMAN'S WITCH DR. HEAD SHRINKER KIT video:

Do you have Windows Media Player running? If so, turn it off. That's what was messing me up. Now it plays just fine!

Dan. Good question, but I'm afraid it's one that I can't answer. Are there any pics of these sets at your disposal? And how many different Dick Smith sets were made?

This is taken from TIME Magazine for the week of Dec. 20, 1976:

"Little Monsters. For the child who does not get enough blood and ghoul from TV or movies, new Monster Make-Up and Horror Make-Up kits provide the wherewithal for 56 basic variations of Lon Chaney, including leprous or misshapen cheekbones, deformed foreheads, grotesque scars, dagger wounds, drooping, bulging eyeballs, bullet holes—plus a bottle of nontoxic gore. The kits, which sell for less than $20 each, were designed by Veteran Makeup Artist Dick Smith, who turned Linda Blair's head in The Exorcist and aged Marlon Brando in The Godfather. They come with a packet of powdered gelatin, which when melted in hot water becomes Flex Flesh and can be shaped in a variety of plastic molds. The skin-thin horror mug is kept in place with spirit gum and can take makeup. New York's Pressman Corp., which makes the sets, has sold some 250,000."

There was no accompanying picture.

Pressman Toy Corp is located in NY, with the pressmantoy.com site running. I'd think, given the high profile of most of their offerings over these long years, that it's the same Pressman.

It doesn't definitively answer the questions, but when I shook the Magic 8 Ball, it said 'Signs point to yes'...

P.S. To avoid legal hassles, I must state that the Magic 8 Ball is manufactured by Mattel.
Now Hasbro's in the corner whining. Damn!
