Can I put the molds in the dishwasher to clean them?

Actually, you want to clean them carefully, to keep from scratching the baking surface. I found oven cleaner works great for really bad condition molds.

Someone recommended using oil with teflon coating afterwards, to restore the metal surface somewhat.. I haven't tried that though.

There used to be a great online thingmaker resource, but I think the pages vanished.. maybe the wayback machine could pull them out?
