There are certain individuals here who seem to think they've found a new home to spew venom. There's also a few here who think they are entitled to vigilante justice here at UMA. Both types are sorely mistaken. This type of behavior will NOT be allowed. I'm guessing it wasn't allowed at other forums either as we seem to have a sudden influx of trouble makers here at UMA. The Model Kits board in particular comes to mind.

Let me spell it out to you this one time and one time only. And then the banning begins.

This forum will NOT be used as a pedestal for sneaky self promotion or defamation of another individual's character. If you have something positive to say about you and your endeavors, then by all means go ahead and say it .. OUT IN THE OPEN. Please don't join under another alias just to stroke you and your product. This is tacky and self-serving, and it is frowned upon here.

If you have an agenda to try and rid the world of all its ills and evils (including recasters). Then do it somewhere else. This is NOT the place for such a thing. And it's not going to be allowed here either. The UMA does not condone recasting in anyway, but were not going to be subject to endless pissing matches that only drag down the boards with negative posts.

We're not the People's Court either. Do NOT make claims against somebody here at this forum. The admins here are NOT interested in sorting this type of stuff out in front of everybody. We're much more likely to ban all parties involved rather than sit here and try and play Judge Judy in front of the entire army.

If you have a concern about any fraudulent behavior or members who might be using this forum for deceptive purposes, then please report it privately to one of the mods. We will review it off list and deal with it accordingly. This forum is not open to public slander against anyone (except Ray Ferry). Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

This is your one and only warning. The next one is curtains. And I'm not kidding either.

Best and bored with it all, Terry.

Good for you Terry, I agree totally there is enough venom out in the World without bringing it here as well. I on my way to make my sign now "Keep UMA poison free".

Thank you for taking swift and decisive action on this. It's great to see many folks from the modeling boards here, the last thing the UMA needs is the controversy and muck raking that accompanies the recasting debate. The UMA is a civil place and I'm very glad the Administrators and Moderators are taking steps to keep it that way. Thank you again.
You knew the job was dangerous when you took it, Fred.

Terry, thank you!  I haven't been as active lately because I did notice the club seemed to be "negative" and that was turning me off.  I have met many of the members at various monster shows and have enjoyed all of them so when I started noticing negativity, well, it surprised me and kind of turned me off (Roebuck can confirm this as we had talked about it last week.) I am glad it wasn't just me noticing this.  Kudos to you!!

Salut, Bossman.

I am/have been members at a few boards, and I always say - here, there, and everywhere - that the UMA's Long Suit is the low amount of cyberflame onsite, and the quickness with which the Mods put out fires when they do happen.

Best,

I also would like to say thanks for putting a stop to all the bullcrap that was being slung around!
I come here to get good vibes and be among friends not to run in to finger pointing and mud slinging.
All you people here are the best! Thanks for your swift action on this situation.

Wow.  What the heck did I miss?  I haven't been here much in the past week and I missed all the "fun".

Better yet, DON'T summarize what happened.  It's better off I don't stir this up. :)

I do love this board for the fact that everyone is civil, respectful and trustworthy.  Thanks for keeping it that way, as much as possible.

This is the friendliest group on the web. Thanks for keeping it that way. I salute you for your efforts General. I come here to relax and talk about Universal monster movies and all the goodies that go with it and to also lend a sympathic ear to those with troubles just like you all did for me when I had my heart attack.
