For $17.98 each...I'll take a dozen and make a killing on Ebay!

That has to be one of the greatest monster-related toy of all time, and what a great commercial.

One of my favorite all time toys! I got mine Christmas 1961 and used it to destroy many a construction with my Kenner Girder and Panel set. And what happened to my Garloo? Foolish boy, as a teenager I thought he was taking up too much room in my closet and donated him to Goodwill. To my everlasting shame.
You knew the job was dangerous when you took it, Fred.

That's great Frank!  He looks like he could be in a Harryhausen movie!

Great rendition of Garloo! Looks like the missing character from Jason and the Argonauts! Here's my Garloo...i wish it was the original one from my childhood, but that vanished many years ago. THIS one was bought at a Chiller Theatre show about 10 years ago. I recall seeing it as soon a we arrived early Friday in the dealers room. It became my fixation for the weekend. I didn't bring along enough extra cash to buy it and it was KILLING ME to think i had to let it go. Well, my wife mentioned my problem to Kevin Clement [ Grand Poobah of all that is Chiller] and he immediately offered to loan her the money to get it for me, which she DID! By this time, i  was pretty much a fixture at the Chiller shows due to my musical involvement with Zacherley, but STILL this was a really over the top, truly kind gesture on his part in my eyes and it's because of him that i was able to bring this much coveted piece of my past back home to stay. THANKS Kevin!

Hopefully your Great Garloo didn't also dump your electric trains into the water as in the commercial!
