While working on our family genealogy today I have discovered that it appears that GLENN STRANGE may be a very distant cousin of mine.  The individuals in question are from a generation ago and the direct  link is a marriage of the two clans.  Still under going some research, but the dates, places and names appear to be correct.  Just another bit of information to share.  David

Glenn Strange was also related to Pocahantis, in case you didn't know

That would be so cool!

as a little boy I remember fishing with Glenn Strange.

My father knew him personally and they both had the same jobs at the time...well sort of...

Glen, was Sam the Bartender on Gunsmoke and my Dad Remo,  was the Bartender on Bonanza.

Glen sent me a beautiful autographed picture was was lost through the years and I really wish I had it now.

He was a very kind and soft spoken man from what I remember and we even did the Lou costello routine where i punched his hand.

So if he is your distant cousin I can tell you first hand he had "Class" all the way!

You should try to nail that down, David. It'd be cool to point out "Cousin Glenn" to people while watching "A&C Meet Frankenstein"!

David, I remember Bob Burns talking about Glenn's daughter--she's still living, last I heard.  Perhaps you can connect with her somehow?  Drop Bob a line!

Thank you everyone.  I appreciate the words of encouragement.

Steve it is fantastic to hear from someone that actually knew GLENN STRANGE (I also like that he was working as SAM the Bartender in Gunsmoke at the same time your dad was working on Bonanza as the bartender).  Thank you my friend.

My younger brother has been the one really working hard on our family genealogy and he has attempted to contact Glenn Strange's daughter.  I will send out an email to Bob Burns as you suggested typhooforme.  Thank you for the tip.

I thank you all and I will keep everyone posted as the search continues.

Glenn considered Bob Burns to be the son he never had--and I believe Bob keeps in touch with Glenn's daughter.  So yes, I'd think that might be a useful contact.  Let us know as more news arises.

Hi Robert,  I surely will contact Mr Burns.  I appreciate the help.  As you can guess, my family, well at least me, is pretty excited to find out one way or the other.

Very cool David, seeing Glenn Strange now, I'll think "one of our own is related to him".

Keep us posted.
