Maybe I should have posted an image for GREED instead of just money.

Man, I remember when retailers laid off of the Christmas ads until after Thanksgiving. Now it's Christmas crap in the Summer and the hot Halloween items get sold out in July forcing people to feed the scalpers multiples of the retail price just to get them. Ugh...

Been a while! Been a while since they put up the X-Mas decor soon after Halloween.

I am a child of the 1950's.  I remember that the during the week before Thanksgiving the city would put up candy canes and garland on the streetlights in the downtown area.  But the lights would NOT be turned on until after Thanksgiving and the annual Thanksgiving Day parade that would end with Santa bringing up the rear on the last float.

I had two weeks off of school for Christmas vacation.  The week before and the week after.  My dad would put up the (real) tree the week before and take it down on New Year's Day.

I still think that works best.

Yeah, YT Christmas shopping vids are starting to crowd out the Halloween ones. I'm ignoring the existence of Christmas until after Halloween! So there.

For me, the Christmas season begins the day AFTER Thanksgiving - like, 3 weeks after Halloween.

The only businesses doing ads for Christmas crap should be people like Michael's Arts & Crafts.  They sell the materials for making your own gifts and ornaments.  That takes time.

I went to Pigeon Forge TN today to check out some Fall colors and Halloween decorations. Christmas decorations are already crowding out the Halloween stuff. I came home sooner than I had planned due to the awful traffic and because they're so greedy they can't even let us enjoy Halloween. I probably won't go back.
