Picked this up at a toy show in California, wondering how many more are floating around in folks collections?

I had no clue this was a 50s item.    I always thought it was a Spectreman villain.

its a windup, the remote to the left is for the marx king kong out of frame. I have the marx frankie but he is being fixed currently

definitely could be one...apparently about 1500 were made only for the american market, so far I've only seen a boxed example at morphys and a boxed example on mandarake (japan), haven't seen a loose one till that show
