The only bust I own - but a constant source of joy.

Cool Bust! Looks like the one in "House of Horrors".

Sir Masksalot

I saw that there was some controversy that year. Would you happen to be "Sinister Simon"?

Simon yes, sinister no, alas.

That year's controversy, as I recall, was Lianne 'Spiderbaby' McDougall (Quentin Tarantino's then partner) who had her best writer award withdrawn for blatant plagiarism.

Addendum:
I hadn't ever heard of 'Sinister Simon' or its rather tenuous connection with the Rondo Awards before your post.
However, I've now looked it up and it appears to be an extremely naff dime-store dolly owned by some bloke calling himself 'Cinema Dave'.

It's interesting how controversies like Lianne McDougall's plagiarism can overshadow the awards themselves. As for "Sinister Simon," it sounds like a quirky and somewhat obscure part of the Rondo Awards lore. The connection to "Cinema Dave" and his doll collection definitely adds a unique, albeit unusual, flavor to the narrative.
