Legendary Canadian folk artist Gordon Lightfoot has passed away.



He and his music were much beloved on every side of the border. Here are some of my favourites:

I'm really sorry to hear this! He was one of my favorite artists with Wreck of the Edmond Fitzgerald being a sort of personal anthem of mine.

Absolutely loved him. One of my favorite singer/songwriters.  Finally saw him in concert around 2017 and though older, he still put on a great show.  So many great songs. Two of my favorite albums are Sundown and Summertime Dream. I also have Gord's Gold.  Sad to see him go, but he's left us with a tremendous catalogue of great music.

Every song on his Sundown album is great, but this is my favorite.
So haunting and with wonderful tempo changes.
