Not unexpected, but still a bummer. The man changed the game for sure. My friend once told me that the first Van Halen album blew his mind so much that he kept a copy on vinyl, cassette, CD and 8 track because he "wanted to always be prepared".

Three bands had an influence on me in becoming a musician. One being, Van Halen.  Van Halen definitely changed the music industry and influenced thousands of guitarists.
