Am I overlooking it, or has there really been no mention of horror historian Ted Newsom's recent passing posted here?  The actor/author/filmmaker contributed so much, onscreen and in print, to the genre we all love.

Looks like you broke the ice. I talked to him on Facebook a few times. He gave me some personal details on Cushing that I didn't know.

Ted was a great guy, always willing to help others looking for info.  But, and he readily admitted to this, he didn't mind stirring things up if a topic was controversial.  We'd written for a couple of the same magazines, and sometimes bounced material off each other for feedback.  And he loved a good prank.

Gosh, no, I didn't see this

Was he ill?

I always enjoyed his contributions on the CHFB.
