R.I.P. Ben Cross, of Dark Shadows

British actor Ben Cross has died. He was 72.

Cross's most famous role was in the Oscar-winning "chariots of fire".

Perhaps his most well-known role around here however was as Barnabas Collins in the short-lived rebooted "Dark Shadows" series from 1991.

Personally, I quite liked his portrayal, and I felt that show deserved more of a chance that it received.

I just watched "Far Pavilions" for the first time a few months ago for I was thinking about him. First saw him in "The flame trees of Thika", "The Citadel".   Time flies...and I am well...surprised he is gone.  RIP
