Truth told, the version that I grew up with was the Groovie Goolies, heh.  Also, I'd sometimes hear an all-female version played during the 'Friday Night Horrors'/'Up All Night' sort of marathons...this would have been WWOR Channel 9, NY.  There is another version, a parody with high production values & great lyrics, but the 'NO politics/religion' house rule forbids me from posting the link. 

Anyhow, this is a nice crisp version (time sig is a bit fast, but) and check out the images flashing by -- great stuff!!

Has anybody seen the film "Monster Mash"(1995)? It might not be a great film, but it has Bobby Pickett bringing his mad scientist to the big screen. I have it on VHS, and had a chance to watch it, before my VHS player dies. Some have thought it was a rip off of Rocky Horror, but the play it was based on "I'm Sorry, the Bridge is Out, You'll Have to Spend the Night" was first performed in 1967.
