Of course, "Deliverance" is a classic.

But I also liked him in "The End".  He plays someone who has been told he is dying and wants to commit suicide rather than suffer for a long time.  Co-stars Sally Field and Dom DeLuise.  They seemed to be having fun makin this one.

He had long great career. My fave movie he starred in was 1974 The Longest Yard. IMHO that one is a classic of course with Deliverance. Haven't seen either in years. Added to my weekend schedule.
