The figure to the right of the orange Marxie repro is something of a mystery to me.

He looks to be about 5½ or 6 inches tall and made of PVC.  I have the picture cataloged as made by Comics Spain in 1992.  But, except for the height and pose, he looks nothing like this verified Comics Spain figure:

Anyone know who made this figure - or, even better, have one for sale?

I would've played with this and thought it was the coolest thing ever as a kid. Cause I am an adult (sorta) now and its pretty cool. Let us know what you find out.

Looks like a custom repaint. I notice the scar is gone. So maybe it was painted over or sculpted over. That is, if it is a custom.

Except for the head and paint, they look identical. Not just the pose, but all the sculpted details. Can you tell if the head has been replaced?

Oh, wow - it IS the same figure!

See where the little patch of paint has been scraped off of the shirt?  You can see the original color peeking through.

The face and the slightly different angle completely threw me.  I thought the custom looked stockier.  I sure like the face resculpt and repaint version better.

Thanks, guys.

(I'm feeling REALLY dumb right now - no, even more than usual.)

Only question is, why would someone repainting it make the GD coat green!?   >:(

It looks like they modeled the entire repaint from the Sideshow Frankenstein. Even the skin looks to be the same color.

Sideshow's Frankie 8" had a black coat and the face and hands were not as bright of a green, from what I'm looking at, imo.

The first edition of the 8" Frankenstein had a very dark green jacket.  A few months later, the jacket was black.

If you stand them side-by-side, you can just see the difference.  Viewed alone, hard to tell.

I was referring to the 12 inch Sideshow Frankenstein. ;D

Not a bad little figure with the right paint job.
