As Ben Bernie used to say in the '30s, "Yowsah, yowsah, yowsah!"  And I'll add: WOW!  This was a very very entertaining thread, Gary, and I'M glad I asked for a new showing of these covers, too.  I had only partial memories of about half of the covers, and it's a great treat to see them all again.  I love the Monster Bob background.  Enough of the words, as you say, did remain readable--to wonderful effect.  It works like a charm.  And the Penny Dreadful cover--well, what can one say?  I love it.  Or maybe I love Penny Dreadful.  It was a lucky 13 for the UMA!

Again, thank you, thank you, thank you.

Great thread, and what great work on them Gary...thanks for all the background story.  The Coffin Ray cover is excellent, but if we are talking source material, it's hard to beat Penny's cover.  Great stuff, thanks again!

Thank you for posting these, and for all your hard work making them in the first place.

Really the honour is mine that someone other than myself appreciates them.  Thanks for all the kind words.
