NICHELLE NICHOLS (Lt. Uhura from Star Trek) joins the MADness in Charlotte, NC March 25th-27th! Besides being a pop culture icon, singer, dancer writer and actress, she is also a prominent role model. With an extensive theatre background, Nichelle considered leaving Star Trek to focus on the stage but a conversation with the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. changed her mind. Subsequently, as Uhura, she enacted television's first interracial kiss with William Shatner's Captain James T. Kirk in the 1968 episode "Plato's Stepchildren." CANCELED DUE TO ILLNESS!
Bad news is Linda Blair canceled due to the flu, this is what we got directly from Linda:
"I'm dealing with the flu. My ears & head hurt and the dr said I can rupture an ear drum if I fly, so Im having to cancel. I already did that years ago and I wont take a chance again.. It was the worst pain imaginable."
We all agree cancelations suck and, statistically, we've been pretty lucky that we've had fewer than many shows over the years. We like to think that you guys come for more than any one particular guest, we like to think that you come for the Monsta Bars, See ya this weekend!

LINDA BLAIR WILL BE "IN HERE. WITH US". AT MAD MONSTER PARTY 2016!

LINDA BLAIR (Regan MacNeil herself!) joins the MAD MONSTER PARTY March 25th-27th, 2016 in Charlotte, NC! That's right! The star of The Exorcist, Airport 1975, Sarah T. - Portrait of a Teenage Alcoholic, Hell Night, Chained Heat, Savage Streets, Grotesque and all-around genre icon is also a prominent animal activist. The Linda Blair WorldHeart Foundation is an animal rescue charity devoted to finding homes for and stopping the suffering of animals.

What other actor can list on their resume that they've faced Jason Voorhees, Freddy Krueger (Freddy's Nightmares!), Leatherface, NotLD Zombies, Ghoulies and more?  Actor-turned-director, William Butler proudly can. William has had the honor of being the Whipping Boy for some of America's Greatest Horror Icons and is ready to share stories and hang with fans!  Be sure to stop by and meet him!

MONSTA BARS ARE BACK AT MAD MONSTER PARTY 2016!

MONSTA BARS are back by popular demand! There will be 100 limited edition Monsta Bars in four delicious flavors (Dark Chocolate with Almond, Dark Chocolate Ghost Pepper, Milk Chocolate Ghost Pepper, Milk Chocolate with Toffee) by Chocolate F/X!  Invention, my dear friends, is 93% perspiration, 6% electricity, 4% evaporation, and 2% ghost pepper!

Hidden inside six of the 100 bars for sale will be a Golden Ticket to our Saturday Night R.I.P. Party (good for up to two guests so be nice to strangers and they may give you candy)! There will be a limit of one of each flavor per customer (for a maximum of four bars). Bars are $10 each and the consolation prize in this WONKy raffle is DELICIOUS GOURMET CHOCOLATE!

CAPTAIN HOWDY HAS BEEN SUMMONED TO MAD MONSTER PARTY 2016!

EILEEN DIETZ, Captain Howdy from The Exorcist, joins the MADness in Charlotte March 25th-27th. Eileen was not only the face of one of the most iconic cinematic demons of all time, but she was also Linda's body double some of the more graphic scenes. She was also in Helter Skelter, RZ's Halloween II and soap fans will know her from General Hospital and Guiding Light!

And another Mad Monster Party has come to an end. Did any of my UMA brethren attend? I was only able to go on Saturday. It was an awesome show, and I'm already looking forward to next year.
