Looks as if they were going for the "Pirates of the Caribbean" Kraken from "Dead Man's Chest." These ad guys probably don't even know from the Harryhausen Kraken. That was one good thing about the opening credits of "Malcolm in the Middle," they had several quick cuts of cool old monsters in there, including the Kraken!

Oh, and my mom loved the gecko. No badmouthing the gecko. He's better than those idiotic cavemen, any day! And the stupid pig, too!
