Did any see the premier of American Horror story last night? I thought it was awesome. I didn't really care for last season that much, but I think this season holds much promise. All I have to say is that clown is freakin great. Sometimes clowns in the horror genre can be a bit cliché. However, not this clown. Imo, there are factors why this character is very successful. First is the astounding make up. The detail is amazing, it is very realistic, there is barely a hint of whimsy. Also, it almost looks like there might be something hidden. It looked like it was a mask or someone's face on top of his face. Also, the somewhat monochromatic color scheme of both the make up and the clown suit. Eliminating bright colors was a very good choice. Lastly, the actor himself. The situation where he could stand completely still without movement, then when he did move, it was swift and direct. I am definitely on board with this season.

I meant to watch it but I got caught up watching the Women's cross fit competition. I'll have to mark my calender for next week.

I was not impressed with the clown, but I was VERY impressed that they used Verne Langdon's CARNIVAL OF SOULS as part of the soundtrack.

What ever happened to my Transylvania Twist?

Wasn't to thrilled when I heard the subject matter for this season but it looks good so far; the wife and I both fell asleep during the later half of the show so we still have to watch that part.  No reflection on the show by the way, we were just both tired.

Mord

I'll have to catch it On Demand, by the sound of it.

I know that sometimes clowns tend to be cliche. However, how could you not like this clown? I mean there is so much going on. Like the situation where it looks like he is wearing someone's scalp on top of his own. Also, the incredible make up job and the the portrayal by the actor.

The commercials and trailer for the fourth season (Freak Show) looked really good so I certainly want to watch it, even going so far as to have a friend record it for me, hopefully that works out for me. I bought the first season (Murder House) DVDs and mostly liked it, there were many good elements. I have not seen the second (Asylum)or third (coven) seasons and wondered about your opinions on them. I hate to take a leap and buy them for their still relatively high price if they are just so-so. I am much more interested in the current season, especially if they have circumvented the cliche evil clown trope somehow.

I never watched American Horror Story but I hear that it is good.
