We too celebrate St. Nicholas day (and leave shoes outside overnight!)

Oh, and Dan, 'Don't be Afraid of the Dark'...just make sure that critter is boarded back up in the old downstairs chimmney.  That should keep him out of your stocking.  LOL.

Merry Christmas

Believe in him? I've seen him! When I was six, I was asleep in the living room on Christmas eve, and I woke up before dawn to see a man in red putting presents under the tree. The size was wrong for anyone I know. and Aside from my brother claiming to be in the suit- He was TOO small- then it had to be Santa.

I DID believe in Santa - big-time.

Do I STILL believe in the real St. Nicholas, of Turkey? Of course!

Celebrated his Feast Day last night by presenting our Quicksilver Radio Theater version of "A Christmas Carol" to the Church of St. Rita on Staten Island last night (humblingly, to a Standing "O" response.)

Santa will always be alive in my heart.

I'm a big fan of the Man in Red...but had no idea about St. Nicholas Day! Thanks for sharing, and the stocking is of course, awesome.

Oh man! That is a really good sculpt.

I guess I was a true believer in Santa until age 7. From 7-10, I had my doubts. By 11, I knew it was just a myth, but one that I loved. Still enjoy all the old Rankin/Bass Christmas specials, "Miracle on 34th Street" (except that horrible remake from 1994), and "A Charlie Brown Christmas." I played Santa a few times for local daycare centers in the '80s and early '90s, before my knees gave out. Even had my own Santa suit, which I eventually donated to a fire house. Unfortunately, I don't think I have any photos from those days.

Terry, that captures Sundblom's Santa (the main one from my childhood) better than most of the commercial iterations of it that I've seen.
