I'm in Charlotte NC for July, what should I do?

Thought I'd ask the group since everyone is pretty helpful, I'll be in Charlotte NC for the rest of July, any suggestions of things to do? Thanks in advance!

NASCAR hall of fame, Billy Graham museum...otherwise, kinda dead! But, I live like 25 minutes away. I'd offer to meet you for lunch or dinner somewhere, but right now I'm dealing with my mother recuperating from a fractured pelvis in a local rehab center.
