I remember the line ups at the midnight show at the Waverly Theater in Greenwich Village. I was too young to go but remember it well.

Greenwich Village, that must have been a sight? So much cool history.

Certainly was ..  ;D Lots of 'head' and candle shops.

It would be cool (not possible this year) to take one of these tours ...  http://www.ghostsofny.com/tours.html

I would definitely like to see a couple of those tours. Maybe soon?

Haunted hearse

A few years back, I had the good fortune to travel to England, and made a point of having luch at Oakley Court, the castle that was used at the Frankenstein place.  It was a near ruin when they filmed there, but the place has since been restored, bu the time I had the great fortune to see it.
What ever happened to my Transylvania Twist?

Fortunately, several attempts at remaking this have ALL FAILED!

I couldn't even imagine The Rocky Horror Picture Show, being remade. The remake would never capture the charm and unique feel what the origin film has accomplished.

Monsters For Sale

I was lucky enough to see this film cold with a straight audience - before the midnight shows had begun.  It was a great little rock opera that shocked some of the audience members who were guests of laughing second time viewers.

I tried to see it again some time later, but it was too late.  The screaming morons who shouted what they thought were clever lines at the screen in unison had taken over. It was like being the only sober person at a party where everyone else in hopelessly drunk.

I was SO glad when I was able to get it on VHS!

Fox Broadcasting was supposed to do it as a Halloween made-for-TV movie about a decade ago. Frank N. Furter's castle was going to be turned into an ultra-modern, chrome & glass mansion. There was talk of Tim Curry as The Criminologist, and of David Arquette as Frank N. Furter. Fortunately, I believe it turned out Richard O'Brien still has some creative control in his contracts, and he just squashed the whole thing. He said it would either be done right, or not at all. So far, it looks like Tim Burton and Johnny Depp aren't fans, so, the film should be safe for a little while longer.
