After the Colossus of Rhodes fell, it was still a big tourist attraction in Ancient Greece. I thought that Talos from JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS would be one hell of a tourist attraction, even lying on the beach in pieces as he was after his death in the film Here's a fake version of one of those travel pic series you often see on the web:

Great fun, Herr Hussmann, and I'm particularly happy with the various "head shots".  The one of miniscule Ryan (you?) standing near the head is wonderful, but the one of Ryan in Talos' empty eye socket--zowie!  You've made magical moments here!

Herr, your post is yet another example of the amazing creativity of UMA folk. Talos is one of my favorite Harryhausen creatures, so your post is way beyond cool!! Even Talos is trying to "creak" a smile!...

"Do you know what I've got in those crates?"

Talos is one of my fav RH creatures..

Was that a shot after Hurricane Sandy? The gods struck Rhodes to bring down its Colossus and I guess they hit us with Sandy in order to bring down that statue.

Thanks for all your positive feedback on my fake travel journal, and Typhooforme, Ryan is not me, I'm not that good looking or as in good of shape as he is. Both Ryan and Sherry do not exist. They're both compilations of different images of people and changed airbrushed features. Talos is two different models. The whole figure in pieces is about 5 in. long when put together, but the figure lies in pieces on a base. The head is about 3 1/2 in high for the close up shots and hollow. The shot from inside the head is actually from inside the head, using the macro lens on my old sony digital camera, may it live forever.

Your talent and your imagination are immensely Harryhausen-like, my friend!  If you don't mind answering--do you work 'in the business' or is your artwork a sideline amusement for you?  It's endlessly entertaining for us fellow UMA'ers!

These are the coolest travel pics I have ever seen!! AHHH....the patina on poor fallen Talos -really shows you what he's been through! The foot picture was my favorite! You have such an eye for detail & a wonderful way with words! This is so much fun!
