The "Whisperer In The Darkness" is the 2011 second feature by the H.P. Lovecraft Society
following their "The Call of Cthulhu" from 2005.

The Whisperer in Darkness - Trailer 2

I do not recommend this movie, for the simple reason.....B-O-R-I-N-G
Very long...and very painful to watch...heck, The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra" was so much better than this.

I really enjoyed "The Whisperer In Darkness". I think it captures the macabre mood of Lovecraft well. It isn't an action packed thrill ride with buckets of gore, but Lovecraft's stories aren't either. It's all about detailed characters, settings, and creepy mood. There is some pretty cool action at the end though. It captures the essence of the Cthulhu Mythos... the universe is mind-numbingly infinite and uncaring... and the true powers are poised to destroy us at any moment... and the comfort of ignorance is all that stands between sanity and insanity.
ALWAYS MONSTERING...

I've never watched it, but my brother said it was very atmospheric. I did enjoy The Call of Cthulhu movie the Historical Society did, however.

I am a fan of Lovecraft as well, but this movie stank..plain and simple.
