I just checked that episode.  It was more like a TZ than a Hitchcock show.  The boy was John Megna, who you might know as Dill in "To Kill a Mockingbird"...or one of the teen kids in the "Miri" episode of Star Trek.  He was in sore need of some orthidonture, but Franky was looking GREAT.

John Megna was Connie Stevens' younger brother! He also plays a small part in the pre-credit sequence of "Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte."

Ahhh.  Now I have to go back and view the video a few more times.  Nice catch.

I just watched serveral times and cannot see any trace of wire, but my eyes aren't so good anymore.  Bob, can you see it, or are you just assuming it is there?

Sorry I missed this. Yes, at some point in the film you can actually see a wire, and it blends in with or goes under a rug or something. Been a while.

The Marx Frankenstein is also featured prominently on an "Alfred Hitchcock Hour" episode called "The Magic Shop" from 1964. The evil little kid plays with him while ignoring his mother's chastisement.

Evil children makes for great television and movies. >:D >:D
