I saw an episode of some Hollywood auction show where they discovered the coat Lugosi wore in White Zombie.  It had been altered, but once it was authenticated, it went for thousands.  It's so sad he died penniless and addicted to drugs.

Seems like I saw that, but I may be confusing it with some other auctioned memorabilia?
