anybody watch any shows like Night Gallery, Tales from the Darkside, or Monsters? The latter two are great cheesy 80s tv shows. Amazing stories was a decent one as well. I watched a cool episode of Monsters called, "one wolf's family", and it was about werewolfs living in a suburban neighborhood. There was a cool and funny scene where the husband and wife werewolf are talking and casually walking around the kitchen and the husband opens the refrigerator and there is arms, heads, and a torso in it. Also, a dinner scene where they are eating body parts. All those shows have real cool episodes like that, and I really like them alot.

Love anthology Horror (and related) series.  The 1980s Hitchcock has some really good episodes as well, and I'd love to see it released on DVD.  Considering that they haven't even released the first series in full, I doubt this will happen.

I really want to invest in some of these DVDs.  I paid for a Tales from the Darkside DVD, but there seems to be some problems with the seller...  Hope I get it.  It's been about a month.  I also want to invest in Night Gallery, as I have seen a number of episodes and love them.  I own the complete Twilight Zone, so the more Serling the better.  Another one of my favorites is Are You Afraid of the Dark?  It's a teen's show from the '90s, but a lot of the episodes are still quite good and scary!  And you can't beat the idea of The Midnight Society.  So, yes, I am a huge fan of this type of show.   :)

TV anthology horror/sci-fi is great. I bought the "Definitive Twilight Zone" as soon as each season came out. My favorite is the original "Outer Limits". The control voice introduced us to a different monster-filled episode every week. "Night Gallery" also contained many fine episodes which dripped creepyness. "Tales From The Darkside" and "Monsters" were also fun. Re: "Tales..." see the episode "A Case Of The Stubborns". It's a hoot.
ALWAYS MONSTERING...

Wolfman

One of my favs was the episode, "Go to the Head of the Class" from Amazing Stories. It starred Christopher Loyd from Taxi/Back to the Future fame. There were only 2 seasons of AS, and only the first was released on dvd. This episode was from season 2. I managed to get a dvd copy for myself, as I have the vhs, and had someone transfer it to a dvd. Produced by Spielberg, one of his first I believe, it's super creepy, and a must see if you can get your hands on it.

ps: I think the entire episode is on youtube

I'm a huge fan of Thriller and Night Gallery.  Not too long ago I bought the complete dvd  collection of Ghost Story.  GS is pretty good, as with all of the series there are several stinkers.  I also bought The Darkroom  collection which was a series that debuted in the early 80's and was hosted by James Coburn.  One of the notable things about this series is that they adapted several Robert Bloch tales.  I enjoyed the series.

Hi WL!  Good to see you posting again.  Hope you are doing well.  Here's a link to someone selling the set, but if you do a google search you can find several sellers offering it.

I received the Thriller box set for my birthday, and have been enjoying those.

An older anthology television series I really enjoy is Four Star Theater. Not all of them were horror, but it was a mix of comedy, thriller, mystery and drama. The ones that Ida Lupino were involved with seem to be my favorites. She directed some episodes of Thriller as well as the excellent suspense film Hitch-hiker with Frank Lovejoy.
