World War Z . . . DOA?

Looks like World War Z is in a spot of trouble.  It seems $170-200 million into it, and they still can't figure what it will be about. . .  Originally due out in December 2012, someone decided one apocalypse was enough.  Guess the Mayans had first dibbs.  Now WWZ may make it out by June 2013--along with the other Paramount-delayed movies Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters and G.I. Joe: Retaliation

another multi million dollar train wreck like John Carter, the watchmen, and Green lantern.  when will these corporate clowns turn over the movie making peopel that actually make movies and not just the corporate suits.

What amazes me is that Paramount has THREE movies in the same boat!  Three movies costing at least $150 million each (so far!)  All three are being delayed and all three will cost millions more before they hit the screens.

I'd ask "What are they thinking?" but obviously nobody was actually thinking.

I find it interesting, that they're willing to shell out all those big bucks, when you could make great films, for a whole lot less, that would probably do better at the box office.  Unfortunately, money is no object when trying to refilm a film that somehow did well.  I perfer films, like the original Star Wars, that were able to do incredible things on a budget.
