And I won't. After getting my ass tore up on the Gojira blu review, I promised no more reviewin'- and I say what I mean, and I mean what I say.

Gotcha, sorry I didn't know there was a bone of contention......although I hear you about giving ones opinion!  Some just aren't wanted/allowed.  :P

Hey, I thought you made some pretty valid points in that thread. A few folks got riled because you think the original Japanese cut is far superior to the American cut. So what? That's the same opinion of 90% of the kaiju experts out there! But, as a few folks pointed out, that's the version they grew up with, and first fell in love with Godzilla. So, they get defensive. But, I think you handled their criticism pretty damn well, and in no way did you get your ass handed to you.

Now, I know you love the original Three Stooges. So, I'd really like to hear a hardcore Stooge-a-phile's opinion before seeing it.

But then, I also respect the convictions of someone who has Popeye the Sailor Man as a role model.

I was amazed, and I am a stoogamaniac from way back. These guys were almost as good as the originals. Nobody can replace the originals, but these fellows were absolutely great and the Guy who played Moe, several times through the movie had me thinking I saw a ghost.. I love how they paid honest tribute to the masters.

I PM'ed Bob almost precisely the same sentiments. He's knowledgeable, witty, and likes monkeys. We can't afford for a guy like that to self censor.

And hey if his opinion isn't wanted it can always be censored for him!!

I just saw it this morning with a friend.  Before, I was hesitant about bringing them into today's world and trying to recreate such a great comedic trio, but I decided to just go in with an open mind.  It was great and really funny!  It's a near classic and will be a very rewatchable cult favorite.  Touching, even!  If you're on the fence, give it a go!  If you were going to go, go!  :)  It's better than reviews would have you believe.

Still waiting for this to show up at the Drive-In. Looking forward to it more all the time! Amazing how that happens when you stay true to the original concepts when you revisit a classic. Ain't that right Tim and Johnny?
