Every year I miss this event and don't hear about it until after it is over.  This year will be different.  On May 5 comic book stores across the country are partcipating in free comic book day.  A number of publishers are giving away free samples of their comics.

If you can make it to your local comic book store on May 5, it'll be worth it.

I wanted every one here to know about it before it takes place.

I'll be a guest at Clint's Comics in Kansas City for FCBD -- will have original PHANTOM strip art (among other things) on display.

I went to free comic book day today.  I've never seen the store so busy.  I picked up a number of the free comics they were giving out.  The Buffy comic was a bit odd with a villian from another franchise.

I did get a free Donald Duck comic and a Casper/Little Lulu comic.  They also had a Popeye but I'm not a fan of him.  There was more to offer than just super heroes and sci-fi titles.

The store was packed and Snowy the store's dog was sound alseep as people walked around and over him.

I missed it this year because i was helping a buddy move. This was only the second time in time years that I missed it. I hope those that did go picked up some good comics.

I picked up this .. I'm a big fan of Mouse Guard but was disappointed in the 'free' comic.
