My daughter is 12 years old, has been able to read since 2 and a half years old, she has always had the greatest disposition even in disappointing situations she always counters with " thats OK Dad because...." as a reply. She has been an honor roll student as long as I can remember and more. All facts I am immensely proud of ( but I always wondered where the heck does that stuff come from??? certainly not me)
So how come today , a rainy blah do nothing  day , was I never more proud of her then when despite her seemingly owning every video game ever made. She came over to me and asked "Dad can we watch a movie?" "Yeah Babe what one" "Abbott and Costello meets Frankenstein?" It made a crappy rainy day one of the best days in my life.

I'm with you on that, Jesse.  Kids have a way of putting things into real perspective.

Scary Terry

That's great!  A&C Meet Franky ws the one Unimonster flick my daughter would watch at around that age.  She'd get hysterical with laughter over the coffin lid opening and Lou being scared....

Jesse,

That's great one for parents and kids to watch together.  My wife, daughter, and I saw it at a local theatre last October.  Funny, yet great monster moments.

Let me tell you something, THAT IS GREAT!

When the kids and I are together on the couch watching something like that, I'll always ask. "What is this?"

My children answer, "it's the BEST of times!"

Watching Dr. Shock with my dad was an amzing memory.

Congrats on raising her right.

Here is exactly why I love this community.

I read this post and all of your answers and offered my two cents because I knew this was important.
Our love for all of this will only last as long as we do. the it's as forgotten as wax recording cylanders.

UNLESS our kids see the wonder and value of it.

I wrote here becuase I knew this Dad did the right thing.

SO it turns out that "Jesse Heywood" is non other then my great friend, Frank Garafolo.
Didn't realize he joined us until he pointed it out.

Frank is the ultimate monster kid. Loves this all so much, as well as vintage Batman and superheros.

PLUS, he is an excellent illustrator as you can see on the Memorable Mem. page in the ART GALLERY STCKY POST.

Welcome aboard.
