Hi yall sorry to burst in on all the MONSTER talk with a post about girly dolls. I recently inherited an instant collection of old dolls and am trying to identify them, value etc.  Half of them seem to be "Dolls of the World" and based on who had them as a child late sixties to early seventies. And I mean a lot of dolls. I remember seeing posts from a woman in this group that collected dolls but I don't remember the name.
AND WELCOME BACK U.P. I KNOW THE WORD DOLL CAUGHT YOUR EYE AND YOU'RE READING THIS!!!

Hey Man
My wife is a (novice) doll collector and I used to be a toy dealer back before Ebay. Shoot me a couple pics and I'll see if I can help.

I've got some doll books and can give you comparable values (recent sales, not book prices) on them after they are ID'd.  Post away!

Here are most of them ("DISK FULL" I use an old Sony Mavica and 3.5s) Some are wood, plastic and maybe something else. They vary in height from 3" to 12" .

OK, now you gotta start pulling up their skirts!  Look at their backs and see if they have a mark on the back of the head, middle of the back, tramp stamp area, butt, etc.  Many will, a few won't.  Tell us the marks.  Some just have the doll company, others have model numbers as well.

Wow, you have quite the band of gypsies there.  A lot of those are Euro tourist dolls and don't have much value.

Focus on:

Pic 1 - Far right
Pic 2 - The Indian doll in the middle is plastic, hard plastic?  Or what?  The one on the far right might be good, but looks like she had a haircut.
Pic 3 - I've always thought the ones on the left would start gaining value at some point, but not sure where they are right now yet.  The other 3 might be ok
Pic 4 - Maybe the little one on the left
Pic 5 - Check out the one with the white bib.  ugly doll, but interesting.

Not sure, but it seems that someone may have stripped off the original clothes on some and made some gypsy dresses for them.  Any where the clothes look hand stitched instead of machine made could be good US dolls if you take off their clothes and sell 'em nekkid.

That's too large an undertaking at this point. I go to bed early. Tomorrow b4 the Wild game probably or at coffee in the morning.
